My Book

The United States of America was founded on two basic principles: that all men were created equally and that every man is born possessing rights. Man has the right to “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.” The right to life is man’s fundamental right. Man’s right to life contains and implies all of his other rights, including his right to property. Liberty is the act by which man exercises his right. And the pursuit of happiness is the right for man to select his own purpose and to take the necessary actions to achieve it.

This book is a collection of essays written as a foundation for all of my future work. This book is further sub-divided into five key areas of focus: Introduction, Ethics, Economics, Inflation, and Man in Society. The Introduction outlines the focus of this book and prescribes additional readings. The section on Ethics establishes the fundamental principles of ethics on which Capitalism is founded, contrasting these principles with Altruism, Collectivism, Welfare Statism and Socialism—which are varying degrees of the same basic principles. The section on Economics addresses the major criticisms of Capitalism and offers a philosophical defense. The section on Inflation establishes and explains the evils created by Modern Monetary Theory, Central Banking, and Fiat Money. Finally, the section Man in Society offers some guidance for man to live his life going forward with a new understanding.

This book stands as a foundation and an introduction to principles which I have discovered, analyzed and explored from and related to the philosophy of Objectivism, which was developed by Ayn Rand. This book is not a recitation of those principles, does not offer a complete exploration of those philosophical principles, and should not be taken as an official Objectivist work. However, for those readers who understand and agree with the principles herein, the official Objectivist works would be the next place to seek further for truth, knowledge, and rational understanding.

In this book, you will find many criticisms to Socialism, Welfare Statism, Collectivism, and Altruism. Altruism is the basic principle which must be rejected in defense of Capitalism; and in so doing, one must also reject the principle that Selfishness is evil. Man’s right to live means the right to act in service to one’s own life—to act as the beneficiary of one’s own actions. The right to live means the right to justice, which means the right to private property. The right to live means the right to produce, to keep the results, and the right to trade freely with others. “The Right To Live” is the motto by which man must claim all of his other rights. This book offers man intellectual ammunition he needs to live by and defend his right to his life.
